The Scrub Down -or Why Couldn't Either One Keep His Legs Crossed

Okay, once a month The Purveyors of Global Cat Love embark on the litter box scrub down for the little rascals. As many of you know, back in the day before the clumping litter, the box just had to be cleaned a bit more than at least every so often, right? Without a periodic scrub down the box would become an unsanitary stink bomb of a latrine in which no cat would feel comfortable luxuriating. Besides, if you didn't ever clean the box your cats would let you know quicker than you could say Fancy Feast with an indiscreet mess or two somewhere else in the house.

So today was scrub down day, and The Purveyors of Global Cat Love handled the job as the job is handled each month--dump old litter, put box in tub and scrub down with scalding hot water, lemony fresh disinfectant and ammonias; rinse with more scalding hot water and let dry. The job isn't long but letting the litter box air dry can take up to at least 20 minutes, and today this was obviously much too long of a wait for either Russell or Hollis since one of them jumped into the opened container of fresh litter and did his business there without even much of an effort to hide the deed. Bad boys!
